Bio-Gärtnerei Watzkendorf

Salad-Mix

Bio-Gärtnerei Watzkendorf grows different salad varieties all year round, which are then processed into their salad mix. Depending on the season, the salad mix can contain up to 13 different types of lettuce. Radical Transparency from farm to table

  • From Producers

With a small team of developers, we create online and offline applications to help small-scale food producers document and share their production data. This documentation process is important to meet the required standards for certification, and helps optimise the production processes and their overall footprint.

  • Via Retailers

We support retailers with meeting their customers’ rising demand for transparency on their way to a responsible consumption. On top of that, we facilitate procurement processes, inventory planning, the detection of food fraud and reduce the response time to product recalls in the future.

  • To Consumers

Additionally, we deliver product information directly to consumers, using easy to navigate web apps, and QR codes on packaging. Thus, consumers can find out where their lettuce grows, and how their (vegan) cheese is made. Easily accessible data helps people make well-informed decisions about products they use and endorse.
